On Sept 26, CSG delivered a special report at the 2024 Advanced Seminar on Disaster Management in African Countries. The report, titled "Innovative Technologies to Enhance Resilient Infrastructure - Exploration and Practice of CSG's Transition from Disaster Response to Disaster Prevention," highlighted the company's achievements in high-quality development, disaster prevention and mitigation emergency mechanisms, and the emergency response in 2024. Government officials from African countries participating in the training highly praised the experience and effectiveness of CSG's disaster prevention and emergency response system, expressing their expectations for deeper cooperation with CSG in emergency technology research and training.
The seminar, hosted by the Ministry of Emergency Management of China, served as a measure to implement the consensus reached at the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation. It also represented a concrete action to advance the 14 cooperation initiatives on natural disaster prevention and emergency management under the Belt and Road Initiative. The 10-day seminar saw the participation of 22 mid- to senior-level government officials from disaster management departments in nine countries, including Algeria, Cameroon, Comoros, Egypt, Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, and Senegal.
